Blue River Technology is based in Santa Clara, CA.   Summary We are looking for a highly skilled and energetic person to help improve and support our revolutionary robotic and vision-based systems for agriculture. You will be joining a world-class research and engineering team to provide critical skills in improving existing systems and pushing the boundaries of our technology. Job Responsibilities The main job responsibilities include:  * Research and develop image-processing and computer-vision algorithms for 2D and 3D scene segmentation. * Develop effective experiments and methods to detect and characterize model performance issues in long-tail conditions. * Exploring Deep Learning models and/or frameworks to push the performance frontiers of our current system, including exploring methods in the active learning space. Required Experience and Skills * Enrollment in or completion of a degree program in Computer Science or a related field. * Experience working with machine learning systems, with particular emphasis on computer vision and deep learning. * Experience with Python and deep-learning frameworks like PyTorch. * Attention to detail and ability to work independently. * A positive attitude and willingness to take on a variety of tasks as necessary. This role is expected to pay $45–$60 per hour (40 hrs/wk), depending on experience and duration (approximately 3-4 months total).
