ACCOUNTING MANAGER - JOB DESCRIPTION WHAT YOU’LL DO * Supervise and support accounting staff by delegating responsibilities, reviewing work for accuracy, and providing ongoing training and development. * Serve as the subject matter expert for company accounting systems, procedures, and financial processes related to Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and General Ledger functions. * Oversee billing, collections, cash application, vendor payments, and account reconciliations to ensure timely and accurate financial operations. * Assist with monthly financial close activities including journal entries, reconciliations, account analysis, and preparation of financial reports. * Help ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, company policies, and internal controls. * Coordinate with third-party sales tax partners to ensure accurate tax collection, reporting, and remittance. * Establish and maintain accounting procedures, policies, and internal controls that improve efficiency and financial accuracy. * Collaborate with leadership and cross-functional departments to provide financial insights that support operational and strategic goals. * Support internal and external audit activities by preparing documentation and ensuring compliance with financial procedures. * Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, reporting accuracy, and overall operational effectiveness. QUALIFICATIONS Must Haves * Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field, or equivalent professional experience. * 2–5 years of accounting or financial management experience with demonstrated leadership responsibilities. * Strong proficiency with accounting software, Microsoft Excel, financial reporting, and data analysis tools. Preferred * Experience supporting audits, sales tax compliance, and process improvement initiatives.
