About the Role: At Ampowr, we solve our customers' problems end to end. Our delivery goes beyond battery or software alone — from site assessment through to unlocking trading opportunities and increasing revenue, every project depends on engineering that is pulled together and delivered as one. As the energy environment grows more complex, our solutions are a key factor in keeping the lights on. This role sits at the centre of that delivery: the person who brings the whole project together connecting the technical and Solution Engineering teams, Sales, Proposals, and Project Management and carries each project from concept through to a clean, successful handover. If you are passionate about using technology to solve complex energy challenges, and you want to be the person at the centre of Ampowr's end-to-end project delivery, this is the role for you. What it takes for you to be successful in this role: As Project Engineering Manager, you bring every project together and see its engineering through from start to finish. Your core duties will involve: * Drive end-to-end project engineering: guide every project from site assessment and pre-sales, through detailed design, to a clean, fully documented handover.  * Be the central point of coordination: pull together the Technical team, Solution Engineering, Sales, Proposals, and Project Management so each project is delivered on time and to spec.  * Manage the engineering delivery: lead and develop the Solutions engineering efforts and team across the project portfolio, holding the work to a high standard throughout.  * Run the bid-to-handover process: provide technical input to proposals, protect design integrity through delivery, and hand projects over cleanly to operations and the customer.  * Liaise across functions and with customers: act as the central technical contact, aligning scope, feasibility, and cost with Sales, Proposals, and Project Management from the bid stage on.  * Uphold technical standards: ensure all solution designs comply with applicable industry standards, codes, and safety regulations across the jurisdictions we operate in.  * Set the engineering bar: establish and maintain engineering standards, documentation, and design-review gates across all projects.  * Own technical risk: manage technical risk across the portfolio, resolving cross-functional blockers and escalating where required.  * Advise external stakeholders: provide technical guidance to customers and partners, occasionally on-site.  * Operate independently: work with a high degree of autonomy, requiring only light strategic supervision.  What You bring to the table: * Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.  * 5+ years in electrical / power-systems design, including creating and reviewing technical drawings and documentation.  * 3+ years leading or managing an engineering / project-engineering team.  * Hands-on experience delivering solar PV and/or battery energy storage system (BESS) projects.  * Strong working knowledge of BESS components: inverters, batteries, PCS, and energy management systems (EMS).  * Track record of taking multiple concurrent projects from bid through design to handover, bringing cross-functional teams together along the way.  * Deep understanding of electrical design principles, grid codes, and safety standards.  * Hands-on experience with EMS / SCADA / energy monitoring and control systems.  * Strong commercial awareness: able to balance technical integrity against cost and deliverability.  * Strong communication skills in English and, preferably, in Dutch. Extra points if you have:  * Chartered Engineer (CEng) / PE.  * Project-management certification (PMP / PRINCE2) or strong hands-on project-management experience.  * Experience across multiple jurisdictions or markets (e.g. South-East Asia, UK). What do we offer? * Benefits allowance to support any extra costs related to your employment;70% Company contribution on pensionable salary; * Full travel reimbursement; * Equipment provided by the company (Macbook, iPhone); * A minimum of 25 paid holidays per year. * Opportunities for personal development (trainings, programs etc); * A dynamic and inspiring environment, in which we give you every opportunity to challenge and prove yourself by executing your ideas. * Work for an international company with a fun team. We have an open culture and ‘flat’ organization model where we all work together towards the same goal. * The space to come up with your own ideas and implement them. At Ampowr, our goal is to create an environment where everyone feels valued, included, and empowered to succeed. We are committed to providing an equitable and inclusive hiring process. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, national origin, genetics, disability or age.
