At Apex, you don’t just join a company, you help shape what comes next.   Your Responsibilities as a Construction Technician 1: * Perform field labor related to the maintenance and repair of stormwater infrastructure systems. * Operate hand tools, power tools, and light construction equipment safely and effectively. * Perform vegetation management and site maintenance activities using string trimmers (weed eaters), brush cutters, and similar equipment. * Support erosion and sediment control installation and maintenance activities. * Load, unload, and transport materials, tools, and equipment to and from job sites. * Document daily activities, field observations, and completed work. * Follow all company safety policies and OSHA regulations. * Participate in training opportunities to develop construction and technical skills. * Maintain a clean and organized work environment. * Actively pursue professional growth and career development opportunities. What we're looking for: * High school diploma or GED required. * One to two years of construction, landscaping, grounds maintenance, or related field experience preferred. * Experience safely operating string trimmers (weed eaters) is required. * Experience operating skid steers is a plus. * Experience with stormwater infrastructure maintenance, erosion control, drainage systems, or related construction activities is preferred. * Knowledge of sediment and erosion control practices is preferred. * Demonstrated strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions. * Ability to perform physically demanding work in outdoor environments and varying weather conditions. * Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly. * Comfortable operating pickups and towing equipment trailers. * Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record. * Strong commitment to safety and OSHA-compliant work practices. * Willingness to learn new skills, accept direction, and work as part of a team.
