CUSTODIAN JOB SUMMARY   The custodian is responsible for the overall cleanliness and attractiveness of the clinic. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * Cleans and dusts desks, tables, chairs, counters, etc. * Mops, buffs, or vacuums portions of clinic floors. * Responsible for cleaning kitchen area. * Maintains clean restrooms and assures the availability of soap, towels, tissue, etc. * Assumes stock control for supplies. * Performs routine maintenance to custodial equipment and supplies. * Responsible for the appearance of the center grounds. * Sanitizes all exam rooms, lab, x-ray, etc. * Simple maintenance as assigned by supervisor. * Adheres to the terms and conditions set forth in BSHC’s corporate compliance program. * Ensures confidential information in accordance with BSHC’s policy and current HIPAA regulations. * Performs other duties as assigned.   MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS: * High School Diploma or GED. * Experience in janitorial work preferred. * Ability to follow instructions, operate cleaning equipment and keep a supply inventory.   PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS / WORK ENVIRONMENT: * Requires physical work; heavy lifting, pushing or pulling of objects up to 50 pounds. * Moderate exposure to unusual elements, such as dirt, dust, and/or unpleasant odors.
