To support the growth of our inpatient service we are seeking an additional dedicated Veterinary Surgeon to oversee inpatient care and manage emergency cases presenting through our Pet A&E service at our Teesside Hospital. This role offers a stimulating and varied caseload with a strong medical focus, alongside opportunities to perform both emergency procedures and surgical emergency cases. You will play a key role in ensuring excellent continuity of care for our inpatients, while confidently handling same-day emergency presentations. Your primary responsibility will be to meet the clinical needs of our inpatients, whilst also providing high-quality care for emergency cases as they arise throughout the day. Our Teesside hospital opened in January 2026 and has already grown a busy inpatient caseload whilst also delivering exceptional care across first opinion, referral and out-of-hours services. Our state-of-the-art facility has been thoughtfully designed with both patients and teams in mind. The hospital features seven consultation rooms, a dedicated end-of-life room, three theatres, separate dog and cat wards, isolation facilities, a fully equipped dental suite, diagnostics suite, and a digital X-ray room.
