At Apex, you don’t just join a company, you help shape what comes next.   This role can sit anywhere in Florida and be either remote or go into one of our local offices.  Your Responsibilities as a Senior Environmental Project Engineer:  * Provide senior technical oversight and perform project work. * Write and review technical reports and proposals. * Assist with project management activities. * Engineer design of environmental projects under senior engineer oversight. * Mentor and train scientific staff and supervise work. * Conduct field-based activities such as site inspections, remedial system startups, O&M trouble shooting. * Assist with installing, operating, and maintaining soil and groundwater remediation systems. * Manage and oversee equipment vendors in the field. * Ensure safe work practices on all project work. * Actively develop your own career growth. What we're looking for:  * BS in Environmental Engineering * PE Certification * 40-hour HAZWOPER certification * Experience with environmental remediation including soil, soil gas, and groundwater treatment systems * Familiarity / exposure with the FDEP Petroleum Response Program * 5+ years of related experience * Proficiency with MS Office * Experience with AutoCAD is a plus * Excellent technical communication skills; strong attention to detail; field adeptness * Strong safety record and understanding of safe work practices * Strong research and analytical skills to identify, collect, organize, and document information and data. * Valid driver's license, good driving history and reliable transportation are required. * 10-15% fieldwork/travel to support and oversee pilot tests, system optimization, system startups, and pre-construction meetings.
