The Opportunity We are looking for a Finance Assistant to join our finance team with an immediate start. This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a high-growth deep-tech business, working across a defined set of transactional finance processes that are genuinely important to how we run day-to-day. You'll be working as part of a team of four, picking up ownership of key tasks from day one — including expense management across our UK, US, and Singapore entities, and bank account reconciliations. This is ideal for someone with finance interest who wants to consolidate their skills in a fast-paced environment, and who takes pride in getting things right. What You’ll Do Expense management * Reviewing and approving employee expense claims in line with company policy across the UK, US, and Singapore entities. * Reconciling receipts to card transactions and following up on any missing documentation. * Ensuring expenses are correctly coded and compliant before reaching payment stage. Bank reconciliations * Performing regular bank account reconciliations across multiple entities. * Investigating and resolving discrepancies promptly and accurately. * Keeping records clean and audit-ready at all times. Ad hoc finance support * Supporting the wider finance team with additional ad-hoc transactional tasks and process improvements as they arise. What makes a great candidate * Switched-on and a fast learner — you pick things up quickly and don't need to be told the same thing twice. * Highly organised, with a reliable approach to managing your own workload and deadlines. * Accurate and detail-oriented — you take care to get things right and notice when something doesn't add up. * A proactive communicator — you flag issues early and know when to escalate rather than sitting on a problem. * Comfortable in a dynamic, fast-paced environment where you'll need to manage your time well. Bonus Points * Experience with Xero or a similar accounting platform. * Some prior experience in a finance, bookkeeping, or accounting role — whether through an internship, placement, or a first job in finance.
