This role is ideal for someone who enjoys organization, accuracy, problem-solving, and working collaboratively in a mission-focused nonprofit environment. You’ll help ensure BraveBe remains financially strong and compliant while supporting the important work happening across our programs and services. 🌟What You’ll Do Support Financial Operations * Maintain the general ledger and ensure accurate financial recordkeeping in accordance with nonprofit accounting standards and GAAP * Process accounts payable and receivable while ensuring proper grant and program allocation * Perform regular bank, credit card, and account reconciliations Manage Grant & Program Financial Tracking * Track expenditures and receivables across multiple federal, state, and local grants * Assist with grant invoicing, reporting, and drawdown requests * Monitor grant budgets and ensure expenditures align with funding requirements Promote Accuracy & Compliance * Maintain organized financial documentation and audit-ready records * Support annual audits, monitoring visits, and financial reporting processes * Identify opportunities to improve financial systems and efficiencies while maintaining compliance Collaborate Across Teams * Work closely with leadership and program staff to support budgeting and reporting needs * Partner with the Development Team to track in-kind donations and funding allocations * Serve as a trusted financial resource within a collaborative team environment 🌟What You Bring * Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered * 5+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience, preferably in a nonprofit or grant-funded setting * Knowledge of GAAP and nonprofit accounting principles * Experience with QuickBooks and Microsoft Office products * Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills * High level of integrity, discretion, and attention to detail We’re looking for someone who is dependable, collaborative, and passionate about supporting mission-driven work through strong financial stewardship. 🌟Benefits That Support You  This work requires both passion and support, we believe in supporting your well-being and creating a positive work environment. * Flexible part-time schedule (approximately 15 hours/week) * Accrued paid health time off * Employee Assistance Program for confidential support for staff and immediate family members * A collaborative and mission-driven team environment with meaningful work that directly supports children and families in our community 🌟Role Details * Part-time, non-exempt position * Flexible scheduling, approximately 15 hours per week, in-office with remote work option after fully onboarded * Pay range starts at $20.00-$24.00/hour, depending on experience * Reports to Director of Business Operations 🌟Growth & Development We believe in investing in you: * Opportunities for ongoing professional development and nonprofit financial training * Supportive leadership and a collaborative team culture * Opportunities to expand knowledge of nonprofit and grant-funded financial management 🌟Our Commitment BraveBe is an equal opportunity employer committed to building a diverse and welcoming workplace where every individual feels valued and respected. We are proud to have been named one of Lincoln’s Best Places to Work in both 2024 and 2025; an honor that reflects our deep commitment to fostering a culture of support, belonging, and care for every member of our team.
