Cabinet Peaks Medical Center is seeking a General Surgeon to join out Team! Cabinet Peaks Medical Center is seeking a skilled and compassionate General Surgeon to join our growing healthcare team. This position offers the opportunity to practice in a patient-focused, rural critical access hospital while enjoying a balanced lifestyle in the beautiful Pacific Northwest. The ideal candidate is a motivated and team-oriented surgeon who is committed to providing high-quality, evidence-based surgical care to a diverse patient population. Key Responsibilities Perform a broad range of general surgical procedures including endoscopy, laparoscopy, and basic trauma care. Collaborate with clinical staff, medical providers, and hospital leadership to ensure exceptional patient outcomes and safety. Maintain compliance with all regulatory and hospital policies, including documentation and coding. Educate patients and their families on pre- and post-operative care plans. Engage in continuous quality improvement initiatives. Qualifications Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) from an accredited institution. Completion of an accredited general surgery residency program. Board Certified or Board Eligible in General Surgery. Active or eligible for unrestricted Montana medical license. Current DEA registration. BLS, ACLS, and ATLS certifications preferred. Preferred Skills & Attributes Strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Comfortable in a rural healthcare setting with broad clinical responsibilities. Commitment to community-focused healthcare and patient education. Schedule Monday–Friday with shared call rotation Compensation & Benefits Competitive salary based on experience. Relocation assistance and sign-on bonus. Generous CME allowance and paid time off.
