Our Industrial Gas & Energy Systems portfolio includes integrated heating solutions combining natural gas systems, in-house boiler technology, and thermal distribution applications such as hot water loops. These solutions play a critical role in enabling efficient and sustainable industrial operations. Role Overview This role is responsible for developing and scaling Armstrong’s Industrial Gas & Energy Systems business in India. You will take ownership of the market by identifying, creating, and converting new business opportunities across industries such as steel, refinery, chemicals, food processing, and manufacturing. The role focuses on promoting integrated heating solutions comprising gas systems, in-house Natural Gas-fired boilers, and hot water loop applications. This is a front-line, customer-facing role requiring strong relationship-building capability, industrial curiosity, and a proactive approach to opening new doors. You will drive market development, customer engagement, and long-term growth strategy for the segment. Key Responsibilities * Identify and develop new customers, applications, and market segments for Industrial Gas & Energy Systems solutions * Proactively identify and pursue new opportunities through cold engagement, site visits, and industry networking, without reliance on inbound enquiries * Build strong relationships with plant engineers, reliability teams, consultants, EPC contractors, and key decision-makers * Act as the primary point of contact for the Industrial Gas & Energy Systems segment in India, driving market approach and opportunity development * Drive new business creation through site visits, technical discussions, and proactive customer engagement * Engage with customers to understand process challenges, energy consumption, and operational inefficiencies * Position Armstrong’s solutions through value-based and consultative selling approaches * Develop and manage a robust sales pipeline, including opportunity qualification, strategy development, and conversion planning * Collaborate with internal teams (engineering, marketing, product management) to deliver technically sound and competitive solutions * Provide structured insights on market trends, competitor positioning, and emerging opportunities to support business strategy and product development * Maintain disciplined use of CRM tools for opportunity tracking and forecasting * Promote and position Armstrong’s integrated heating systems, including in-house Natural Gas-fired boilers and associated gas control and distribution systems What We’re Looking For Qualifications & Experience * Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (MBA preferred) * 10-12 years of experience in industrial sales / business development * Proven track record of opening new accounts and developing business from scratch * Experience in selling system-level solutions (not just components) will be an advantage * Experience working with industries such as refinery, steel, chemicals, energy, or manufacturing * Strong exposure to plant-level engagement and customer-facing roles * Willingness to travel extensively (60–70%) Key Capabilities * Strong customer engagement and relationship-building skills * High level of industrial curiosity and problem-solving mindset * Ability to understand and discuss technical systems and applications * Self-driven, proactive, and comfortable working in unstructured, opportunity-driven environments * Ability to translate customer challenges into commercial opportunities * Strong communication skills with the ability to engage across multiple stakeholder levels Why Join Armstrong Fluid Technology At Armstrong, you will not just sell products—you will help industries reduce energy intensity, improve reliability, and move toward more sustainable operations.
