In office 5 days a week - San Francisco (Dogpatch)   Hey, we're Glacier! Series A startup based in San Francisco tackling one of the world's most pressing problems: trash. Did you know that in the US, we send over half of our recyclables to the landfill? We're working to fix that. In doing so, we'll also be reducing carbon emissions, energy consumption, and depletion of natural resources. Glacier builds custom sorting robots designed to sort apart recyclables as well as AI-powered business analytics that enable recyclers to superpower their plants and improve our society's circularity. Our technology has been recognized as one of TIME's Best Inventions and featured in a TIME documentary, TechCrunch, Fortune, and CBS. We're looking for an organized, proactive, and dependable Inventory & Facilities Coordinator to join our San Francisco team. You'll be the operational backbone of our office and shop floor, ensuring our team has the parts, tools, and environment they need to build and deploy robots without interruption. This role reports to our Production Manager. Responsibilities: You will own our inventory and facilities operations. Detailed responsibilities include: * Manage end-to-end inventory operations including parts receiving, cycle counts, and system updates when we ship products * Handle purchasing for production and field service, including ordering parts and working with vendors to find good deals * Help improve our inventory and ordering processes to prevent production delays * Keep the shop floor organized, clean, and safe * Order and manage office, shipping, and PPE supplies * Work with vendors, contractors, and maintenance teams to keep the facility in good working order Experience requirements: * 2+ years of experience in inventory management, shop operations, or a related role * Demonstrated experience implementing or working with inventory management systems * Experience with parts receiving, cycle counts, and procurement in a hardware or manufacturing environment * Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records consistently * Comfortable working in a hands-on, shop floor environment alongside engineers and technicians What traits will make you successful in this role: * Dependable and detail oriented — you notice recurring bottlenecks and work to prevent them before they become problem * Strong time management and prioritization — you know what matters most and make sure critical tasks get done first * Problem solver — you track down missing parts, correct receiving errors, and find quick fixes for broken equipment without waiting to be asked * Process improvement mindset — you're always looking for better ways to do things and willing to try them * Tech savvy — you pick up inventory management software, AI tools, and spreadsheet tools quickly and use them to work accurately and efficiently * Good communicator — you work well with engineers, technicians, and vendors to solve problems together Bonus points: * Experience in a hardware startup or manufacturing environment * Familiarity with barcode, RFID, or other physical inventory tracking systems * Forklift certified The cash compensation range for this role is $70,000 to $110,000. In addition to cash compensation, Glacier also offers competitive equity compensation and benefits. The final compensation for this role will depend on many individualized factors including job-related skills and knowledge, experience level, interview performance, and other factors.
