The Town of Bishop’s Falls is looking to hire two individuals for eight weeks under a Job Creation Partnership (JCP) Project to complete the following renovations at the Town Hall and Fire Hall:   * Paint the upper level of the Town Hall (i.e., Chambers, boardroom, and office spaces). * Install new flooring in three offices at the Town Hall (TMC, OA, and ARC). * Paint the interior of the Fire Hall (pool room, bathrooms, and garage).   Two jobs are available as outlined below.  The schedule for both jobs is 35 hours per week (8:30 pm - 4:00 pm, with 30 minutes for lunch), Monday to Friday.   Supervisor ($729 per week, non-insurable wages) Job Duties:   * Overseeing day‑to‑day activities. * Coordinating work schedules. * Acquiring supplies and materials. * Ensuring that tasks are completed according to the approved work plan. * Monitoring safety, work quality, and progress. * Providing on‑the‑job coaching and guidance to participants. * Implementing the project workplan (i.e., laying flooring, painting, general labour tasks, etc.).   Job Requirements:   * Previous supervisory or leadership experience, preferably in a hands-on or project-based environment. * Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to coordinate schedules and resources. * Knowledge of basic construction or maintenance tasks (e.g., flooring, painting) and safe work practices. * Effective communication and mentoring skills to provide guidance and support to participants.   Labourer ($640 per week, non-insurable wages) Job Duties:   * Implementing the project workplan (i.e., laying flooring, painting, general labour tasks, etc.).   Job Requirements:   * Ability to perform general labour tasks such as painting, flooring, and basic construction work. * Willingness to learn new skills and follow instructions as part of a team. * Reliable, punctual, and strong work ethic. * Basic understanding of workplace safety practices or willingness to learn safe work procedures.   Successful applicants must meet all JCP eligibility requirements.    The deadline to apply is June 22, 2026.
