Junior Accountant Location: Al Muraqabat, Dubai, UAE Key Responsibilities * Record daily sales, purchases, expenses, and financial transactions of the pharmacy branches. * Close daily cash sales and perform reconciliation with system records. * Prepare, issue, and track cheques for suppliers and operational expenses. * Manage Accounts Receivable (AR) & Accounts Payable (AP): * Track customer dues and follow up on collections. * Process supplier invoices and ensure timely payments. * Assist in monthly and annual financial statements preparation. * Perform bank reconciliations and maintain proper records of transactions. * Monitor and reconcile stock entries with the inventory team. * Assist in VAT return preparation and ensure compliance with UAE tax regulations. * Support payroll processing, employee advances, and expense claims. * Maintain proper filing of invoices, receipts, and vouchers. * Assist in audit preparations and provide required financial data. * Manage petty cash & operational expenses. * Any Ad-hoc tasks arising and requested by Pharmacy Execs. Requirements * Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field. * 1–2 years of accounting experience (experience in the retail/pharmacy sector preferred) within the UAE. * Knowledge of AR/AP processes, cheque handling, and daily cash reconciliation. * Familiarity with UAE VAT and accounting standards. * Proficiency in MS Excel; exposure to accounting software (Tally/QuickBooks/Odoo) preferred. * Strong organizational, numerical, and multitasking skills. * Good communication in English (Arabic/Hindi/Urdu is an advantage). * High integrity, accuracy, and willingness to learn.
