WHAT IS ON OFFER Alfred H Knight has an opportunity for a Laboratory Customer Services Administrator to join our Laboratory team based in Spartanburg, South Carolina. The Laboratory Customer Services Administrator is responsible for coordinating with internal and external customers to ensure that instructions are documented accurately, customer expectations are maintained, all samples are referenced, and data is entered in a manner that reflects the highest standard of quality. RESPONSIBILITIES On completion of a thorough induction and training process, as a member of the Sample Administration department you will be competent in the following tasks, not all of which you will be expected to carry out simultaneously:  * Receiving and sorting incoming packages. * Organizing and prioritizing sample entry tasks.  * Data entry of incoming samples into Laboratory information management system. * Communicating with customers, at various stages of the analytical process. * Coordinate and communicate with other AHK locations.  * Communicating with Customers to determine analytical needs or to obtain information required to ensure that correct information is received for the Laboratory. * Create and communicate customer quotations for submitted samples. * Creation and communication of Certificate of Analysis and Invoices. * Management of sample archives and sample returns. * Previous experience in a customer service or office administration role preferred. To be successful at Alfred H Knight, you will need to display the following: Required Competencies * Ability to act in a professional manner with an awareness of current working situations * Aim to get things done well and set and meet challenging goals, create own measures of excellence and constantly seek ways of improving performance and quality of work * Communicate clearly and persuasively, in person, over the telephone or in writing, dealing with technical issues in a non-technical manner * Actively embrace change and challenge the norm  * Develop positive relationships with colleagues * Keep a log of achievements, so that these can be used and adapted to the role in future * Computer literate * Microsoft Word and Excel  * Excellent communication skills both verbally and electronically * Good attention to detail * Be able to work from own initiative Required Work Experience * Previous experience in a customer service or office administration role preferred Required Qualifications * High School Diploma (minimum) * Sound knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel and Google Suite applications BENEFITS * 401K. You can elect to make pre-tax contributions of between 1% to 84% of eligible earnings.
