The Provider Servicing team is developing integrations with our partners to provide a better experience for our Providers. Ensuring providers receive accurate information they need to provide care and process claims. As a Backend Engineer, you will be responsible for the ownership and management of Provider Servicing systems. This includes developing new AI-powered solutions and providing support for existing microservices-based applications and integration platforms. WHAT YOU'LL DO: * Design and develop scalable, secure, and configurable platform services for the Provider Servicing Team. * Lead backend development and support of services across backend (Java/Spring Cloud) and integration platforms (Mulesoft and others) * Utilize working knowledge of AI-powered developer tools (e.g., Copilot, Cursor) and actively contribute to AI adoption in development and operational aspects. * Build and enrich APIs and data services to integrate with partners. * Collaborate with product managers, operations analysts, customer advocates in building solutions that helps Providers integrate with our platform. * Understand architectural decisions and actively drive reusable patterns for cloud-native, AI-enabled backend systems. * Lead and mentor other engineers in the team and help them succeed. * Actively work with the operations and customer advocates to create efficient processes through automations to improve SLAs. TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE, YOU'LL NEED: * Experience: 10+ years as a Backend Engineer * Backend Engineering: Strong proficiency in Java & Spring Cloud, with a deep understanding of microservices architecture and Integration platforms * AI Tools: Regular use of AI-enhanced development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor, WindSurf). * Cloud: Extensive experience with Cloud Technologies (AWS/GCP preferred). * Data: Hands-on experience in data architecture, SQL/PostgreSQL, and developing data-intensive services. * Systems Development: Prior experience in building, launching, and maintaining complex systems. * Team Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, and product managers, to gather requirements and ensure solutions meet business needs. * Communication: Excellent communication skills across all levels and teams. PAY TRANSPARENCY STATEMENT  This is a hybrid position based out of one of our offices: San Francisco, CA, Plano, TX, or Lehi, UT. Hybrid employees are expected to be in the office two days per week.#LI-hybrid The actual pay rate offered within the range will depend on factors including geographic location, qualifications, experience, and internal equity.
