JOB TITLE:                         Lifestyle Editor DEPARTMENT:                  Editorial REPORTS TO:                    Editor-in-Chief JOB SUMMARY The Deputy Lifestyle Editor will be on the Prestige team, with experience covering luxury lifestyle in Hong Kong, working alongside the brand editors on various pillars in the magazine and website. Reporting to the Editor-in-Chief (Prestige), the candidate will assist the team to produce the monthly magazine, upload, write and publish articles daily, and work towards digital KPIs to produce high quality content for our readers. The Deputy Lifestyle Editor will also liaise with relevant PR, conduct interviews, attend press events when necessary.   KEY RESPONSIBILITIES   * Pitch ideas for lifestyle features and editorial projects with the editorial team * Write articles and news features for the magazine and online * Research and conduct interviews for profile stories in a professional manner * Attend and assist on photo shoots * Assist the Editor-in-Chief on editorial and advertorial projects * Ensure that articles in the magazine are well-written, on topic and informative * Edit and revise articles and proofread all pages and layouts before going to press * Oversee the layout, appearance, artwork, design, photography and content of lifestyle articles in the magazine * Stick to deadlines and file your work on time * Adhere to the Prestige Style Guide * Understand and comply with corporate compliance issues, media law and industry ethical guidelines * Raise the profile of the magazine and network with our community, brand clients at industry events * Attend Prestige events, brand events and charity events in a professional manner   QUALIFICATIONS   * At least 3+ years of extensive journalistic experience in writing, editing with a national or regional publication * Mature with a strong sense of integrity, responsibility and professional judgement * Knowledgeable and current with the luxury sector, with extensive international background * High proficiency in English    BENFITS   * Medical insurance * 5-day work week * 14 days of annual leave * Opportunity to work with experienced, knowledgeable industry professionals * Opportunity to contribute to both web and print    About us   BurdaLuxury is one of Asia’s most vibrant and progressive independent media houses.
