Mechanical Engineer Location: Washington, DC  TS/SCI REQUIRED/Current CI Poly   Responsibilities: * Develop and/or review planning documents * Conduct building code compliance evaluations * Perform peer reviews of plans, specifications, and technical reports * Develop design concepts and detailed mechanical system designs * Coordinate with architectural, civil/structural, and electrical disciplines * Support project activities during design, bid, and construction phases * Develop and review project schedules * Conduct cost-benefit and feasibility studies * Develop lifecycle cost estimates * Serve as project or team lead as required * Develop scopes of work and provide contract administration support * Conduct technical studies and analyses * Lead production of design and technical documentation * Ensure adherence to technical and design standards Qualifications: * Must have an active TS/SCI with a CI polygraph  * Must have a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and 7+ years of expereince. * EIT Certificate required; Professional Engineer License preferred but not required.  * Ability to develop working knowledge of all technical requirements of projects.   * Experienced user on commonly used CADD software, including REVIT  * Must be able to travel 10-20% including OCONUS Desired: * Certified Building Commissioning Professional certification preferred  * Autodesk Certified Professional preferred  * Project Manager Professional (PMP) certification preferred
