Who We Are Amae Health is a Series B, venture-backed Public Benefit Corporation that delivers specialty outpatient care for people living with severe mental illness, including schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, bipolar I disorder, and treatment-resistant depression. We design and operate high-acuity, in-person clinics across the United States. Our model integrates psychiatry, therapy, primary care, dietitians, and community health workers under one roof to deliver coordinated, longitudinal care for a population that has historically been fragmented across systems. The Role We are hiring a Mental Health Therapist to join us onsite in our Los Altos, California clinic. Onsite supervision for limited permits is available. What You Will Work On * Provide individual and group therapy to a panel of complex SMI patients * Provide continuous, regular support as patients navigate recovery, both in person and occasionally virtually * Deliver evidence-based care in a holistic, wrap-around care model * Collaborate with patient care teams and behavioral health providers to ensure an integrated, cohesive approach to care * Address medical needs to mitigate negative impacts of social determinants of health * Provide consultation to therapists on the treatment team, including licensed therapists and trainees; assist with program development What You'll Have * Active Licensed Psychologist, LMSW, AMFT, or LPC license in the state of CA; onsite supervision for limited permits available * Thrives in a collaborative team environment and establishes positive relationships with other medical professionals * Experience and interest in working with adults and at least 1 year of experience working with patients with severe mental illness * Experience in evidence-based interventions, including CBT, DBT, or MI * Ability to navigate challenging situations with professionalism * Thorough understanding of confidentiality and appropriate documentation standards * Technologically savvy, with the ability to learn and navigate new tools and technologies * Highly organized with the ability to work autonomously * Strong listening skills and excellent verbal communication capabilities What We're Building As a clinician at Amae, you are not adjacent to this work. Compensation & Benefits Amae Health is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. Base salary range for this role is $85,000 to $125,000 per year based on a full-time schedule.
