Multi-family Contractor Relations Manager Department: Multi-Family Construction Reports To: Director of Operations, Multi-Family FLSA Status: Non-Exempt   Position Summary The Multi-Family Contractor Relations Manager is responsible for developing and maintaining strategic relationships with General Contractors, developers, and other key stakeholders within the multi-family construction industry. This role supports company growth initiatives by identifying project opportunities, expanding contractor engagement, securing invitations to bid (ITBs), and serving as a key liaison between prospective clients and internal teams. The position requires independent judgment, proactive market analysis, relationship management, and ongoing coordination with operations, estimating, and sales personnel.   Essential Duties and Responsibilities * Identify, research, and pursue multi-family construction opportunities within the company's geographic markets using industry resources, including ConstructConnect and similar platforms. * Develop and maintain relationships with General Contractors, developers, and other industry stakeholders to increase company visibility and secure invitations to bid (ITBs). * Conduct outreach activities and ongoing engagement efforts to establish the company as a preferred vendor and gain inclusion on approved bidder lists. * Research construction projects to identify General Contractors, key decision-makers, and potential business opportunities. * Maintain accurate records of contractor contacts, communications, opportunities, and activity within the company's CRM and business management systems. * Follow up on submitted quotes and proposals not assigned to a sales representative to gather project status updates, feedback, and future opportunity information. * Collaborate with internal teams to communicate market intelligence, support business development initiatives, and promote company growth. * Prepare and submit weekly reports summarizing outreach efforts, contractor engagement activities, pipeline development, and business opportunities. * Represent the company professionally in meetings, industry events, and networking opportunities as needed.   Secondary Responsibilities * Provide backup support to the Logistics Manager as needed to ensure continuity of operations and assist with logistics-related activities during periods of increased workload or staff absence. * Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.   Qualifications Education and Experience * Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Construction Management, or a related field preferred. * Three or more years of experience in business development, account management, contractor relations, sales, construction operations, or a related field preferred. * Experience working with General Contractors, multi-family construction projects, construction bidding processes, or building products industries is strongly preferred. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities * Strong relationship-building and customer engagement skills. * Effective verbal, written, and presentation communication skills. * Ability to conduct market research and evaluate business opportunities. * Strong organizational and time-management skills. * Ability to prioritize multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. * Proficiency with CRM systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and construction industry databases. * Ability to exercise independent judgment in managing relationships and identifying business opportunities. * Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities. Physical Requirements * Prolonged periods of sitting and working on a computer. * Frequent communication with customers, contractors, and internal stakeholders. * Ability to travel locally and occasionally overnight as business needs require. * Ability to attend meetings, project sites, and industry events. Work Environment This position operates primarily in an office environment but requires regular interaction with customers, contractors, and project stakeholders. Occasional travel to customer locations, construction sites, trade events, and company facilities may be required.
