Peec AI helps teams track their visibility, measure performance, and uncover opportunities to grow their organic presence in an increasingly complex search landscape.   ABOUT THE ROLE Peec AI is looking for a People Operations Manager to own and scale how we hire, onboard, and take care of our team across every country we operate in. This is a senior, hands-on role for someone who has built People foundations before and wants to do it again, this time across multiple entities and markets.   You think in systems, you turn messy manual processes into something clean and repeatable, and you care deeply about how it feels to join, grow, and work at a company. You are as comfortable designing a performance cycle that ties to company goals as you are getting the details of a multi-country payroll run exactly right.   You will own the operational backbone that keeps a fast-growing, international team running: contracts, onboarding, payroll, performance cycles, and the compliance that comes with employing people across Germany, the US, and beyond. The Workplace function will report to you, so you will also shape the environment our team works in day to day. You will lead a small team, own the budget that sits behind all of this, and partner closely with Finance and leadership on the decisions that shape how we grow.   WHAT YOU'LL DO * Own People Operations globally, across all our entities (Germany, the US, and new markets as we expand) * Run the full employee lifecycle end to end: contracts, onboarding, changes, and offboarding * Manage multi-country payroll with our external partners, and keep people data accurate and compliant with GDPR and local law * Design and run performance and feedback cycles that align with company goals and leadership priorities * Own the Workplace function and lead a small team, shaping where and how the team works * Own the People and Workplace budget, and partner closely with Finance on planning, forecasting, and reporting * Implement a new HRIS in the US, and build the processes, templates, and self-service docs that let us scale cleanly * Stay ahead of employment law in every market we operate in, and know when to bring in external legal or tax support   WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR * 3 to 5 years in People Operations or HR, with real ownership of topics across more than one country or entity * Experience in a high growth startup environment * Hands-on knowledge of international labor law, especially Germany and the US (strong experience in other international setups is welcome too) * A proven track record managing the full employee lifecycle end to end * Experience designing performance and feedback cycles that align with company goals and leadership priorities * Experience running payroll across multiple countries * Experience implementing an HRIS, ideally in an international, multi-entity environment * A strong cross-functional partner, with a history of working closely with internal teams and external partners, such as Finance, Talent, C-Level, law firms and vendors. * Experience leading a small team and owning a budget * A clear, warm communicator with exceptional organization, sound judgment, and discretion around confidential, time-critical work * Fluent in German and English BONUS POINTS * Experience setting up a new country entity or expanding into a new market (especially the US) * A clear point of view on modern People tooling and what good looks like * Genuine interest in the modern People Operations and employee experience space   WHAT WE OFFER * Exciting and challenging work with real impact and ownership at one of Europe's fastest-growing Series A startups * A strategic seat at the table: you'll be in the room where decisions are made * Aggressive equity compensation package * Regular team events and off-sites * Paid Meal & Uber home when working late * The most beautiful office space and work environment in Berlin
