THE ROLE  We are seeking a  Mid-Level Platform Engineer to help us continue driving innovation and making an impact on the reliability, performance, and scalability of Farfetch's industry-leading technology. You must have a DevOps mindset and be passionate about automation, scalability, and infrastructure reliability. In this role, you will be co-responsible for the maintenance of several technologies that are crucial to the success of FARFETCH’s business.    WHAT YOU'LL DO * Design, develop, implement, and manage cloud-native infrastructure and tooling that empowers our development teams. * Contribute to building self-service capabilities, abstracting complex infrastructure layers, and promoting engineering autonomy. * Operate and maintain a wide range of infrastructure components, including Linux and Kubernetes-based systems, using automated processes and pipelines. * Contribute to our culture of continuous improvement by identifying opportunities for increased scalability, cost efficiency, and reliability. * Collaborate closely with other engineering teams to understand their needs and provide solutions that accelerate their productivity. WHO YOU ARE * Graduated or higher in Computer Science or a related technical discipline, or have equivalent practical experience. * A strong interest in designing, analyzing, and troubleshooting large-scale distributed systems. * Ability to develop using programming languages such as Python or Golang. * Familiar with the principles of the software development lifecycle and the concepts of infrastructure-as-code. * Familiar with CI/CD pipelines and comfortable working with related tools/technologies (e.g. Jenkins, Git, ArgoCD). * Hands-on experience with containerized environments and container orchestration technologies like Docker and Kubernetes. * A strong interest in one or more of the following domains: * Cloud Infrastructure: Provisioning and Configuration Management (e.g., Azure, Terraform, Saltstack) * Networking: Traffic Management, Load Balancing, CDN, and DNS (e.g., HAProxy, Kong, CloudFlare, Firewall) * Software Development Lifecycle: Automating builds, tests, and deployments (e.g., Jenkins, ArgoCD, Artifactory) * Have a security-first mindset and an interest in compliance achievement. * Proactive, creative, and a great team player. * Good written and verbal English communication skills.
