JOB OVERVIEW The Props Artisan is responsible for creating, modifying, and maintaining props for theatre productions. This role involves working with a variety of materials to build or alter props to match the design specifications. This position requires a creative individual with strong crafting skills and knowledge of theatrical props construction. REQUIREMENTS * Create, modify, and maintain props for theatre productions and events using a variety of materials. * Collaborate with the Props Supervisor to ensure all props are completed to the highest standards. * Maintain a safe and organized workspace and assist during load-ins and load-outs. * Adhere to all safety guidelines to prevent accidents. * Assist with shop maintenance and inventory updates to ensure a clean and organized workspace. * Other duties as assigned by Production Management QUALIFICATIONS * Proficiency in a variety of crafting and prop-making techniques. * Creativity and attention to detail. * Ability to work with different materials and tools. * Experience with theatrical props construction and modification. * Knowledge of safety protocols and best practices. * Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently. * Reliable transportation and/or a valid driver’s license is preferred * Must be willing to work with volunteers and students * Ability to lift items weighing up to 50 lbs *This job description is not comprehensive and is subject to change at any time HOW TO APPLY Complete application through https://barringtonstageco.bamboohr.com/careers/  No phone calls, please.
