About the Role We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Electrical Estimator to join our team as a dedicated, full-time estimator working within our client's existing systems and workflows. The ideal candidate will own the full bid lifecycle — from plan review and quantity takeoff through bid submission and post-award submittals. This is a critical role where accuracy directly impacts profitability; errors in estimating can result in significant losses on a single project. You will be working directly with the ownership team and will play a key role in the company's ability to pursue and win more work. Responsibilities * Perform detailed quantity takeoffs from architect-provided plans using the client's existing estimating software — including material counts, labor hour assessments, and site-specific electrical requirements. * Review project specifications, addendums, plan schedules, and local electrical codes thoroughly to identify missing information and flag questions before bid submission. * Manage the full bid solicitation and submission process — from coordinating supplier and vendor pricing to preparing and submitting complete, accurate bids in the client's required format. * Track active bid invitations, manage the estimating pipeline, and coordinate with vendors and subcontractors on pricing and scope clarification. * Support post-award workflows including subcontractor buyouts, submittals packages, and ongoing coordination with subs and suppliers on scope and scheduling. * Demonstrate familiarity with South Florida market conditions, local permitting requirements, and project timelines specific to Miami-Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach counties. Must-Have Qualifications * 5+ years of estimating experience in commercial electrical work, with demonstrated experience on large-scale projects ($2M - $5M+ electrical scope) for U.S. clients. * Proven experience building out and owning estimating processes and workflows from the ground up. * Strong ability to read and interpret architectural and electrical plans with a high degree of accuracy, including code compliance considerations. * End-to-end bid process experience — from takeoff and supplier pricing coordination through formal submission, plus familiarity with post-award workflows (buyouts, submittals, scope coordination). * Direct project experience on commercial building types such as hospitals, condominiums, mixed-use developments, and similar commercial structures. * South Florida market experience is strongly preferred — familiarity with local permitting, electrical codes, and project timelines in Miami-Dade, Broward, and West Palm Beach counties. * Fluent English communication skills (written and verbal) and prior experience working remotely for a U.S.-based contractor is strongly preferred. Evaluation Process Qualified candidates will be asked to provide an anonymized sample electrical estimate for a commercial project of similar scale ($2M - $5M electrical scope) to demonstrate estimating thoroughness, format, and approach. References from previous U.S.-based clients will also be requested as part of the vetting process.
