TEAM LEAD, TECHNICAL SERVICES LOCATION: PUNE, INDIA (WORKING ONSITE 4-5 DAYS A WEEK) POSITION SUMMARY We are seeking an experienced and people-focused Team Lead to lead our growing team of Triage Analysts in our Pune hub. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for developing, mentoring, and managing a team that serves as the frontline for vulnerability report intake and validation. You’ll work cross-functionally with security experts, technical leaders, and operations teams to ensure HackerOne continues to deliver fast, accurate, and efficient triage services to our customers and hacker community.   As we open our new office in Pune, India, we’re excited to welcome team members who value in-person connection, collaboration, and shared purpose. WHAT YOU WILL DO * Lead, coach, and develop a team of Triage Analysts through regular feedback, performance management, mentoring, and career development initiatives while fostering a collaborative and high-accountability culture. * Drive operational excellence across vulnerability report intake and validation workflows, ensuring work is completed accurately, efficiently, and in accordance with SLAs and customer program requirements. * Champion Own the Outcome by establishing clear expectations, monitoring execution, proactively removing blockers, and ensuring consistent delivery against operational goals and quality standards. * Demonstrate Multiply Your Impact by building scalable processes, coaching team members to grow their technical and operational capabilities, and improving team effectiveness through documentation, enablement, and repeatable systems. * Apply Data-Driven Decision Making by tracking and analyzing metrics related to triage volume, quality, throughput, SLA adherence, and team performance to identify trends, improve workflows, and inform operational decisions. * Leverage First Principles Problem Solving to identify root causes behind operational inefficiencies, quality gaps, or process bottlenecks and implement durable, simplified solutions that improve scalability and consistency. * Foster Change Agility by helping the team adapt effectively to evolving customer requirements, operational priorities, tooling changes, and process improvements while maintaining stability and execution quality. * Promote an AI First mindset by identifying opportunities to responsibly leverage automation and AI-enabled tooling to improve triage workflows, analyst efficiency, knowledge sharing, and operational consistency. * Monitor report quality, validation accuracy, and procedural compliance across the team, identifying recurring issues and implementing corrective actions or coaching plans where needed. * Coordinate scheduling and shift coverage across multiple time zones to ensure continuous operational support and balanced team coverage. * Partner closely with Triage, Security, Customer Success, and Program Operations stakeholders to ensure smooth coordination of vulnerability reports and timely escalation of operational risks or blockers. * Serve as the primary on-site operational leader in Pune, helping maintain a strong culture of professionalism, accountability, collaboration, and engagement within the office environment. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS   * 6+ years of overall experience preferably in a security-related domain. * 2+ years of experience in people management, preferably in a security-related domain. * Good understanding of the bug bounty landscape and vulnerability disclosure ecosystem. * Background in web application security, bug bounty, or vulnerability triage is strongly preferred. * Strong understanding of common web vulnerabilities (OWASP Top 10) and basic security tools (e.g., Burp Suite). * Demonstrated ability to manage distributed or shift-based teams. * Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a strong ability to influence and lead through empathy. * Strong organizational and decision-making skills, with experience managing KPIs and operational metrics. * Comfortable working in a fast-paced, feedback-driven environment. * Must be able to work from the HackerOne office in Pune 4-5 days per week. * Open to work on weekends COMPENSATION ₹30,00,000 to ₹35,00,000 + equity #LI-MH1 JOB BENEFITS: * Health (medical, vision, dental), life, and disability insurance* * Equity stock options * Retirement plans * Paid public holidays and unlimited PTO * Paid maternity and parental leave * Leaves of absence (including caregiver leave and leave under CO's Healthy Families and Workplaces Act) * Employee Assistance Program *Eligibility may differ by country We're committed to building a global team!
