Qualifications: * Minimum Bachelors Degree in Accounting or related field * Includes required upper level accounting credits to sit for the CPA exam * Prior experience in private or public accounting a plus but not required Role and Responsibilities: Other duties may be assigned, as necessary. * Work on assigned segments of accounting or tax engagements * Assume substantial responsibility (under supervision) for small accounting engagements involving individual or small business entities. * Complete individual tax returns, trial balance preparation, payroll reporting, simple tax returns, and additional related tasks as assigned * Stay up to day on firm policies, procedures and the AICPA and state CPA societies' rules, regulations and Code of Ethics. * Regularly read and be familiar with changes in tax laws, including significant changes in the internal revenue code and other proposed developments.
