ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE — TALENT PIPELINE Alternative Payments is building the financial operating system for SMBs, consolidating the disconnected tech stack that holds service-based businesses back. Starting with MSPs, we've spent five years perfecting accounts receivable, and we're now expanding into accounts payable, AI-powered analytics, and beyond. We're growing quickly and continuing to build our Sales organization. While we may not have an immediate Account Executive opening that aligns with your background, we're always interested in connecting with strong sales talent who may be a fit for future opportunities. By joining our Account Executive Talent Pipeline, you'll be considered for upcoming roles as our team grows. THE PROFILES WE'RE INTERESTED IN We're particularly interested in full-cycle Account Executives who know how to create their own opportunities, run strong sales processes, and close. You might be a great fit for a future opportunity with Alternative Payments if you're energized by: * Owning your pipeline end to end, including outbound prospecting, account research, referrals, partnerships, and other creative approaches to generating pipeline. * Running the full sales cycle, from first touch through discovery, demo, negotiation, and close. * Managing a fast-moving pipeline while maintaining strong CRM hygiene and accurate forecasting. * Building strategic account plans, mapping buying committees, and navigating multi-stakeholder sales processes. * Selling through business value and ROI, particularly to finance, operations, and executive stakeholders. * Working closely with Marketing, Product, Customer Success, and other teams to improve how we go to market. * Contributing ideas, playbooks, processes, and best practices as our sales organization scales. * Consistently hitting or exceeding quota in a high-accountability sales environment. WHAT WE'RE TYPICALLY LOOKING FOR Future Account Executive opportunities may vary in level and scope, but strong candidates will typically bring: * Several years of full-cycle B2B sales experience with demonstrated success generating and closing their own pipeline. * A history of carrying and achieving or exceeding quota. * Strong outbound and prospecting capabilities across email, phone, social, events, referrals, and other channels. * Experience selling B2B SaaS, FinTech, payments, or another technical solution. * Confidence leading value-based conversations with senior business stakeholders. * Strong communication skills and executive presence. * A proactive, ownership-oriented approach — you're comfortable operating independently and moving opportunities forward without waiting for direction. * Experience working with a modern sales tech stack such as Salesforce, Apollo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, or similar tools. BONUS POINTS We're especially interested in meeting people who have: * Experience in FinTech, payments, B2B SaaS, or startup/scale-up environments. * Sold to SMBs, MSPs, or service-based businesses. * Familiarity with accounts receivable, accounts payable, or financial operations workflows. * Helped build outbound playbooks or establish repeatable sales processes. * Mentored other sellers or helped raise the bar across a sales team. LOCATION Our Sales team is primarily based in Toronto, and we operate in a hybrid environment with regular time together in the office on Monday, Tuesday and Wedensday. Candidates must generally be eligible to work in Canada. COMPENSATION Compensation will depend on the specific opportunity, level, experience, and scope of the role. Our sales compensation packages typically include a base salary, performance-based variable compensation, and equity.
