OUR MISSION To become the car-changing destination of choice. By combining technology, media and deep automotive expertise, we've turned how people buy, sell, advertise and lease cars on its head. What started as a simple reviews site is now one of the largest online car-changing destinations in Europe. Last year alone we grew over 50% with nearly £3bn worth of cars bought on site, while £1.8bn of cars were listed for sale through our Sell My Car service. In 2024 we went big and acquired Autovia - creators of AutoExpress and Evo magazines - doubling our audience overnight. Together we now have one of the biggest YouTube channels in the world with almost 10m subscribers and over 1.1 billion annual views, while we sell 1.2 million print copies of our magazines and have an annual web content reach over 350million. And we’re a long way from done! THE ROLE Carwow is hiring an Account Management Team Lead to join our Get Your Car (New Market) Partner Success team, focused on car buying. This is a player-coach role with your time split roughly 50/50. Half of it goes on leading and coaching a team of 3 Account Managers, and half on managing your own portfolio of dealer groups. You'll report into the Franchise Account Management Manager and be measured on hitting revenue and retention targets across both your team and your own portfolio. This role is based in our London office three days a week, with travel to dealer partners as needed.   WHAT YOU'LL DO Leading the team: * Coach and develop a team of 3 Account Managers through daily coaching, weekly 1-1s, call shadowing and regular feedback, helping each of them hit their targets and grow in their careers. * Support your team with their day-to-day activity. Help them prioritise, prepare for key dealer conversations and work through challenges as they come up. * Take ownership of your team's revenue and retention performance. Spot risks early and step in where accounts need support. * Act as the first escalation point for your team on complex dealer challenges, commercial conversations and at-risk accounts. * Help onboard new Account Managers so they quickly become confident experts on our product and their brands. Managing your own portfolio: * Own a portfolio of dealer groups, becoming an expert on their brands, challenges, opportunities and performance on the Carwow platform. * Build strong, long-lasting relationships through proactive communication by phone and video, and get on the road to visit dealers in person when needed. * Turn performance data into compelling presentations and a clear story that shows dealers the value of Carwow and brings them on the Carwow journey. * Drive revenue and retention in your portfolio, including upselling additional products and services. Managing your own portfolio: * Find and build more efficient ways of working across the team, including smarter use of data, automation and AI tools. * Work closely with our Marketplace, OEM and Partner Operations teams, and our field-based Account Management team, so that partner strategies are executed seamlessly. * Share insight from your team's dealer conversations to help shape our marketplace, product and commercial decisions. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR Essential * Experience working in a marketplace business and a strong understanding of how two-sided marketplaces work, including supply, demand and the levers that drive partner performance. * Proven experience in account management or partner success, with a track record of hitting revenue and retention targets. * Strong data skills. You're comfortable analysing performance in Excel or Google Sheets and using it to coach your team and guide partner conversations. * The ability to build clear, persuasive slide decks and tell a compelling, data-led story to dealer partners. * Confidence using AI tools in your day-to-day work, and curiosity about how technology and automation can help the team work smarter. * Excellent communication skills and confidence handling senior stakeholders, both internally and with external dealer partners. * The ability to balance your own portfolio with leading a team. You know when to step in and when to empower others to take ownership. * A consultative and creative problem solver who understands each client's business and offers tailored solutions. * Self-motivated, proactive and results-driven, with the ability to ruthlessly prioritise the highest-impact work. * A collaborative team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment and adapts quickly to changing priorities. * Willingness to travel to visit dealer partners in person when needed. Nice to have * People management experience, or experience coaching and mentoring colleagues. * Automotive or dealer group experience. * Familiarity with digital marketing. WHAT’S IN IT FOR YOU * Hybrid working * Competitive salary to fund that dream holiday to Bali * Matched pension contributions for a peaceful retirement * Share options - when we thrive, so do you! * Vitality Private Healthcare, for peace of mind, plus eyecare vouchers * Life Assurance for (even more) peace of mind * Monthly coaching sessions with Spill - our mental wellbeing partner * Enhanced holiday package, plus Bank Holidays * 28 days annual leave * 1 day for your wedding * 1 day off when you move house - because moving is hard enough without work! * For your third year anniversary, get 30 days of annual leave per year * For your tenth year anniversary, get 35 days of annual leave per year * Option to buy 3 extra days of holiday per year * Work from abroad for a month * Inclusive parental, partner and shared parental leave, fertility treatment and pregnancy loss policies * Bubble childcare support and discounted nanny fees for little ones * The latest tech (Macbook or Surface) to power your gif-sending talents * Up to £500/€550 home office allowance for that massage chair you’ve been talking about * Generous learning and development budget to help you master your craft * Regular social events: tech lunches, coffee with the exec sessions, lunch 8 learns, book clubs, social events/anything else you pester us for * Refer a friend, get paid. Repeat for infinite money Diversity and inclusion is an integral part of our culture. We know that diverse teams are strong teams, so we welcome those with alternative identities, backgrounds, and experiences to apply for this position.
