Finance is responsible for managing capital, ensuring financial integrity, optimizing resource allocation, and delivering accurate reporting to drive sustainable growth and profitability.   PORTO Our office is near Porto, in the north of Portugal, and is located in a vibrant business hub. It offers a dynamic and welcoming environment where our employees can connect and network with a large community of tech professionals.    THE ROLE Reporting to the Accounting Manager, you will guide the required process and policy amendments that are necessary for prompt, worldwide, and smooth execution of the standards. You will have an important role in the accountancy of our company, working together with the team to achieve the goals for the monthly closing.   WHAT YOU'LL DO * Prepare and post accounting entries with accuracy and timeliness * Support the month-end and year-end close activities * Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and investigate reconciling items under supervision * Assist with the preparation of tax returns and other statutory reporting requirements * Support the preparation of documentation for internal and external audits * Perform accounting controls and SOX activities in accordance with established procedures * Process and analyse accounting data, ensuring completeness and accuracy * Assist in identifying and resolving accounting discrepancies * Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documentation * Contribute to process improvements and standardisation initiatives within the Accounting team * Collaborate with other Finance teams and business stakeholders to resolve accounting queries WHO YOU ARE * Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field * 3-5 years of experience in Accounting or Financial Reporting * Basic understanding of accounting principles; knowledge of IFRS is a plus * Strong Excel skills; experience with ERP systems is an advantage * Experience with SOX controls is a plus * Strong analytical skills and attention to detail * Proactive, organised, and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment * Good communication and teamwork skills * Fluent in English, both written and spoken REWARDS & BENEFITS * Health insurance for the whole family and other well-being resources * 25 Days of Annual Leave (above the statutory) and additional Caring Days (2 days per year) and * Boomerang: sabbatical program after 5 years service * Training opportunities and free access to LinkedIn Learning * Flexible benefits program * Flexible working environment   EQUAL OPPORTUNITIES STATEMENT & SCAM DISCLAIMER * EQUAL OPPORTUNITIES- Farfetch is an equal opportunities employer ensuring that all applicants are treated equally and fairly throughout our recruitment process.  We are determined that no applicant experiences discrimination on the basis of sex, race, ethnicity, religion or belief, disability, age, gender identity, ancestry, sexual orientation, veteran status, marriage and civil partnership, pregnancy and maternity, or any other basis prohibited by applicable law.  * SCAM DISCLAIMER- It has come to our attention that there may be fraudulent activities involving individuals or organizations falsely claiming to represent Farfetch in order to attract candidates to a SCAM. As a Finance Business Partner, you will be a key contributor to financial transformation and support the company's growth and profitability objectives. Reporting to the Finance Business Partner Manager, you will work closely with the Finance team and cross-functional stakeholders, with strong exposure to the business, to support performance analysis, forecasting and decision-making. You will manage financial performance across the global marketplace, focusing on both financial performance and operational costs (e.g. customer compensation costs, reimbursements). The role requires strong analytical skills, a genuine interest in how the business operates, and the ability to connect financial, accounting, and operational perspectives.
