If you are looking for something predictable, low-demand, or hands-off, this will not be the right fit.   After-Hours Program Supervisors provide crisis management support to our 24/7 care programs. You will coach and mentor front-line employees such as Child and Youth Care Workers (CYCWs). Leading by example, you will actively support children and youth with complex needs, build trusting relationships, and set a gold standard of high quality care for frontline employees. Your work is grounded in harm reduction and crisis response. This work is demanding. It will stretch your patience and creativity. It will give you the chance to make a positive impact on the lives of individuals in care.   Schedule   * Full-Time, Temporary. * Overnight Awake: First 2 days 5:00 PM - 1:00 AM, last 2 days 12:00 AM - 8:00 AM. * On-Call coverage during weekends: When assigned as primary 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM, when assigned as secondary 8:00 PM - 8:00 AM. * Rotation: 4 days on, 2 days off.   What Your Success Looks Like   * Front-line employees know they can go to you with any question or concern. * Individuals feel safe, valued, and genuinely cared for thanks to the trust and consistency you bring to their lives. * Difficult moments de-escalate because of your presence or guidance. * CYCWs and Community Support Workers (CSWs) mirror your calm approach. Your Day to Day   Manage crises occurring after-hours. Provide mentorship to front-line employees, ensuring they deliver high-quality, trauma-informed care. Support program operations, including staffing, scheduling, and workflow organization. Monitor performance and provide coaching to enhance team effectiveness. Complete Critical Incident Reports ensuring safety compliance with policies. Liaise with stakeholders, including Children’s Services, FSCD, and PDD, to coordinate care and support services. Collaborate with internal departments (People and Culture, Finance, Communications) to ensure operational success. Provide support to maintain smooth program operations. Core Requirements   * 2 years of proven hands-on experience managing crisis situations in care (required). * 2 years verifiable experience providing direct care to individuals with developmental disabilities and mental health needs (required). * 1 year of supervisory experience in front-line care (preferred). * Post-secondary education in Child and Youth Care, Social Work, Psychology, Community Addictions and Mental Health, or a related field (required). * Experience working with Children and Family Services, FSCD, or PDD. * In-depth knowledge of harm reduction and home care best practices.   Compliance Requirements   * Valid Alberta Class 5 Driver’s License. * Clear Alberta 3-year Driver’s Abstract. * Own a reliable 4-door vehicle to transport persons served. * Alberta vehicle registration. * $2 Million Alberta Auto Insurance Liability coverage. * Clear Criminal Record with Vulnerable Sector Check obtained in last 6 months. * Clear Intervention Record Check obtained in last 6 months. * Valid Standard/Intermediate First Aid with CPR Level C (Canadian Provider in person or blended).   Physical Requirements   * Stay active throughout your shift (walking, standing, engaging). * Support physical environments indoors and outdoors. * Bend, crouch, and respond quickly when needed. * Lift up to 10 lbs occasionally. * Maintain energy and presence for the duration of your shift.   CarePros Offers You   * Monthly vehicle allowance. * Structured rotation for built-in balance and recharge time. * Ongoing training and professional development. * Cornell University TCI (Therapeutic Crisis Intervention) Certification. * Access to innovative care technology + mobile tools. * A collaborative, supportive team environment. * Possibility of extension in a rapidly expanding organization.   This role is for someone who:   * Finds purpose in supporting youth with complex needs. * Is ready to be relied on, by both employees and those in care. * Stay calm, grounded, and decisive in high-stress situations. * Balances upholding expectations/structure with empathy. * Is solution-focused. * Understands trauma-informed care and child development.   This role is not for someone who:   * Prefers hands-off or administrative work. * Is uncomfortable with crisis situations and behavioural challenges. * Is looking for a low-demand or routine position.   We take our responsibility seriously.
