We are seeking an experienced AI Developer (m/f/d) to support the development, enhancement, and operation of AI-driven applications. The role has a strong DevOps focus, including maintaining and optimizing existing systems as well as implementing high-performance backend services. The environment consists of API-based AI services, microservices, and the associated infrastructure, including automated CI/CD processes. Responsibilities * Design, develop, and enhance REST-based AI services * Implement backend functionalities using Python * Develop, integrate, and maintain microservices * Connect external systems and various data sources * Ensure code quality through automated testing and code reviews * Containerize applications using Docker or Podman * Build, enhance, and maintain Jenkins-based CI/CD pipelines * Deploy and operate applications on OpenShift and Kubernetes platforms * Automate build, test, and release processes * Analyze and troubleshoot issues across multiple system components * Evaluate log data and monitor application runtime behavior * Ensure maintainability, scalability, and performance of applications * Collaborate closely with development, infrastructure, and frontend teams * Contribute to architecture, design, and technology decisions * Create technical documentation in Confluence * Estimate effort and plan/implement tasks in Jira Requirements Must-Have * Excellent written and spoken English skills * Strong experience in software development with Python * Experience designing and implementing REST APIs * Hands-on experience with Docker or Podman * Proficient with Git * Experience working with Jenkins-based CI/CD pipelines Nice-to-Have * * German language skills * Experience with Bash scripting * Knowledge of OpenShift and/or Kubernetes * Experience with GitLab CI/CD * Experience with FastAPI * Experience with microservice architectures * Basic knowledge of Kafka * Basic knowledge of Redis Bonus Skills * * Experience with SonarQube * Jira * Nexus IQ * Confluence * OpenSearch * Dynatrace * Basic understanding of AI and machine learning concepts
