Adams Street Partners’ methodology to calculate Assets Under Management (AUM) is based on fund net asset value (NAV), plus unfunded commitments, plus leverage, but excluding the effect of subscription lines of credit. The prior AUM methodology was based on investor commitments minus commitments to fully liquidated underlying partnerships. Such change in methodology was effective July 2026; however, for periods shown prior to December 31, 2025, Adams Street continues to use the previous methodology. This updated methodology more closely aligns with (i) the amount of assets managed on behalf of investors and (ii) the amount of capital available to make direct and/or partnership investments. Amounts stated by investment advisers in regulatory filings (“regulatory AUM”) have a prescribed methodology, which may, in some circumstances, differ from the methodology such adviser uses for other purposes, including marketing efforts. Adams Street Partners is actively seeking an Associate to join the Investor Relations Team in Chicago directly supporting the Wealth Sales and Fundraising Teams. Reporting to the Director of Client Service and working alongside other Associates the position will provide a superior level of service to our prospective and existing investors across wealth channels (private banks, wirehouses, broker dealers, RIAs and family offices), by creating and coordinating effective communications and data. The Associate will engage with teams across Adams Street to support ongoing investor requests and coordinate wealth-related projects. Given Adams Street’s collaborative culture, this role requires exceptional organizational and client servicing skills, with the ability to successfully manage competing priorities. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: * Develop and maintain strong knowledge of Adams Street product offerings, industry trends, competitive landscape, and the universe of prospective and existing clients across North America * Create existing and prospective client presentations, market updates, and other types of client related communications * Prepare and deliver customized client-facing materials in response to prospective and existing client requests * Ensure the timely delivery of standard and customized data & reporting requests * Registered product support and servicing including coordination of the set-up and monitoring of the operational infrastructure when launching a product on a platform * Support the team with marketing efforts including RFPs and due diligence materials and day to day investor inquiries * Supporting the onboarding and subscription process (including transfers) and engagement with third parties & administrators where appropriate * Support market and prospect research across the North American region to identify, track and manage pipeline activity * Serve as one of the point person for the Investor Portal (access to investor portal, data entry) and CRM (Salesforce, including updating client records, tracking opportunities and recording meeting notes) * Collaborate with teams across the firm to ensure accurate and prompt follow-up to ad hoc projects REQUIREMENTS: We seek an individual who is self-disciplined, detail-oriented, demonstrates creative thinking and has the following characteristics: * Experience in private markets, preferably in a client-facing role. * Strong written and verbal communication in English. * 1-2+ years’ professional experience, ideally within wealth management or other client-facing roles * Knowledge of HNW/UHNW investors and/or family offices preferred. * Ability to synthesize complex information and prepare technical materials in a timely manner. * Exceptional attention to detail, highly organized and able to prioritize and meet deadlines. * Expert knowledge of MS Office Suite products (i.e. Excel, Powerpoint). * A professional presence combined with exceptional communication skills to interact effectively with internal teams and external parties. * Strong work ethic with exceptional attention to detail, highly organized and able to prioritize and meet deadlines. * Fluency with proprietary databases and software systems, including CRM database systems, ideally Salesforce. * A highly-motivated self-starter with the ability to work independently and within a team context. * Graduated from a top-tier undergraduate university, ideally with a business focus.
