Position: Assistant Teacher (2 Full-Time Openings and 1 Part-Time Opening) Schedule: Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, including a 1-hour unpaid break and ideally, 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM for Part-Time. Key Responsibilities * Ensure the safety and well-being of children through active supervision. * Support daily routines, including meals, rest time, hygiene, and classroom transitions. * Assist the Lead Teacher in implementing age-appropriate learning activities and lesson plans. * Foster a positive, inclusive classroom that encourages children's independence and development. * Maintain a clean, organized, and engaging learning environment. * Use positive guidance techniques to encourage appropriate behavior. * Build professional, respectful relationships with children, families, and team members. * Follow all Virginia licensing regulations, health and safety procedures, and center policies. * Assist with attendance, classroom documentation, and other administrative tasks as needed. * Participate in required training and ongoing professional development. Qualifications * Meet Virginia child care licensing requirements for Assistant Teachers. * Previous experience in a childcare, preschool, or early childhood setting is preferred. * Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. * Commitment to providing high-quality care and early childhood education. Skills * Strong communication and interpersonal skills. * Patient, dependable, and nurturing. * Organized with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities. * Professional, reliable, and committed to maintaining confidentiality. * Passion for supporting young children's learning and development. Experience * working with children in a childcare, preschool, or ECE: 1 year (Preferred)
