What we are looking for We are seeking a friendly, reliable, and customer-focused Barista to join our College Store team. This role plays a key part in delivering a welcoming, efficient, and high-quality café experience for students, staff, and visitors, while maintaining excellent standards of food safety, cleanliness, and service. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, and take pride in providing consistently great coffee and customer service. Key Responsibilities * Prepare and serve a range of hot and cold beverages, including espresso-based drinks, in line with quality standards; * Deliver consistently excellent customer service, taking orders accurately and responding to customer queries in a professional and friendly manner; * Operate the till system and handle cash and card transactions accurately; * Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and organisation across the café and service areas; * Adhere to food safety, health and safety, and allergen procedures at all times; * Manage time effectively to ensure prompt service, particularly during peak periods; * Work collaboratively with colleagues to support smooth day-to-day operations. Skills & Experience * Previous experience working in a café or similar setting is preferred- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment * Strong communication skills and a friendly demeanor * Knowledge of coffee preparation techniques is a plus
