Bookkeeper  ABOUT THE ROLE Benguela Cove Investments (Pty) Ltd is the holding entity for Benguela Cove Wine Estate and a portfolio of hospitality and property interests in the Overberg region. We are looking for a competent, detail-oriented Bookkeeper to manage the day-to-day financial administration of the BCI entity and support the Group Financial Controller in ensuring accurate and timely reporting. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES * Invoice processing, approval tracking and supplier query resolution * Daily cash-ups, banking and cash reconciliations * Maintenance and reconciliation of control accounts (debtors, creditors, bank) * Processing on Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central * Intercompany loan account reconciliations (BCI and associated plot companies) * Preparation of supporting schedules for monthly management accounts * Assisting with VAT and PAYE supporting documentation * Liaison with wine estate operational teams on finance queries * Supporting the annual statutory audit for BCI and associated entities REQUIREMENTS * Minimum: Bookkeeping / Accounting qualification (Diploma or equivalent) * At least 3–5 years of relevant bookkeeping experience * Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central advantageous; willingness to learn essential * Strong reconciliation skills — able to work independently and identify and resolve discrepancies * Experience in a multi-entity or hospitality environment advantageous * Highly organised, accurate, and able to manage a high transaction volume * Own transport required (occasional travel to Hermanus) SKILLS & COMPETENCIES * Attention to detail and a methodical approach to reconciliations * Ability to work independently with minimal supervision * Strong communication skills — able to liaise with operational teams * Proactive: raises issues before they become problems * Deadline-driven with the ability to manage competing priorities APPLY NOW
