Brakeman’s Smashed Burger Bar Line Cooks make delicious food in a fast manner for quick service of Brakeman’s Guests. We are looking for a part time position that would be 15-20 hours a week - more heavy on the weekends. Job duties include following recipes to Chef’s specifications, maintaining a high kitchen standard of cleanliness. Must have organizational skills, ability to follow instructions, attention to detail, and ability to function very well under pressure.  We are a high volume space, so excellent teamwork is a must! Roles and Responsibilities: * Prepare a variety of entrees according to established recipes and standards which are presented in an attractive and appetizing manner * Follow food safety and sanitation procedures to ensure the safety and quality of our food * Assist in the preparation of line items * Communicate effectively with other members of the kitchen team to ensure that orders are completed quickly and efficiently * Clean and maintain kitchen equipment and utensils, as well as the work area, to ensure a safe and hygienic environment * Assist in the development of specials, as well as the maintenance of prep lists and par levels * Continuously seek feedback and ways to improve our dishes, processes, and customer experience Qualifications: * A passion for food and a desire to learn and grow in the culinary industry * Strong communication and teamwork skills * Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines * Knowledge of cooking techniques, kitchen equipment, and food safety and sanitation standards * Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed We offer competitive pay, a supportive work environment, and ample opportunities for growth and advancement.
