About the opportunity Reporting to our Head of Marketing and Business Development, this is a hands on role with genuine ownership across client acquisition and business development support at Anthony Harper.   As our Business Development Specialist, you’ll work closely with Partners and Authors to support, pursue and win new client opportunities. You will take responsibility for coordinating and improving the firm’s approach to pitches, proposals and RFP responses, ensuring submissions are well-structured, data-informed and consistently high quality. You’ll help ensure our people have the right tools, insights and business development materials to confidently pursue opportunities and build lasting client relationships.   A big part of the role is insight led decision making. You’ll research markets, clients, sectors, and competitors, analyse pipeline and revenue data, and turn that information into clear dashboards and reports that help shape BD strategy. You’ll also play a key role in profile building initiatives such as supporting events, publications, sponsorships, and feedback programmes that strengthen relationships and raise the firm’s profile. About you You are commercially minded, curious, and motivated by understanding what drives client growth. You bring experience in business development, client insights, or professional services marketing, ideally within a legal, professional services, or B2B environment.   You are confident working with data and systems, with strong Excel capability and experience using CRMs, databases or reporting tools to turn information into clear, useful insights. You are comfortable making recommendations based on data and experience, and know how to communicate those insights, whether that’s through sharp written materials or clear engaging conversations.   Highly organised and detail-focused, you can juggle multiple priorities with confidence. You are proactive, collaborative and great at building rapport, with a natural ability to work alongside senior stakeholders and get things done.
