THE DATA CENTER DESIGN TEAM Examples of key problems the team is working on * Lead the design, development, and execution of 10s to 100s of GWs of data centers this decade. * Drive the next generation of liquid cooling and electrical distribution systems. * Develop and scale first-of-a-kind modular data centers. * Influence behind-the-meter designs and planning for multi-GW campuses. ROLE SCOPE * Produce civil drawing sets for data center site development: grading, drainage, erosion control, utilities, and site plans, from engineer redlines to issued-for-construction. * Turn drawing revisions around inside a day during permitting and construction, when a submittal date or an open RFI is waiting on the sheet. * Build and maintain the civil CAD standards (templates, layers, detail library) so every site's drawing set is consistent and the next project starts ahead. * Coordinate civil sheets against structural and architectural models to catch clashes on paper before they cost time in the field. * Prepare permit exhibits, plats, and agency-requested revisions that keep submittals moving without pulling engineers off design work. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR * The below is a starting point. We always make space for exceptional people, so if you don't fit this role exactly, tell us where you would. * You've drafted civil construction documents in Civil 3D or AutoCAD that were issued for construction and built from. * You've built surfaces, grading, corridors, and pipe networks in Civil 3D yourself, from survey data to finished sheets. * You've turned engineer redlines into finished sheets on same-day deadlines and kept the set consistent while doing it. * You keep drawing sets internally airtight: callouts resolve, matchlines align, and every referenced detail exists. * You've worked deadlines where a missed submittal slips a permit, and the sheet was ready. * You've set up or maintained CAD standards that other drafters followed. * Bonus: Data center, industrial, or utility-scale solar site work.
