CLX Car Advocate, Bodily Injury High Value at lemonade (Remote)

WHAT YOU'RE APPLYING FOR We're looking for a Car Claims Advocate to help us handle high-value bodily injury claims with the care, rigor, and empathy they deserve. You'll join our Car Claims team as a specialist in injury claims — someone who knows how to move fast without cutting corners, and who can guide customers through some of their most stressful moments with clarity and confidence. IN THIS ROLE YOU'LL * Investigate and process injury claims end-to-end, making sure every decision holds up to both policy standards and state or federal law * Gather and evaluate police reports, medical records, and witness statements to build a clear, accurate picture of each claim * Interview claimants, witnesses, and medical providers to assess legitimacy and determine liability * Set appropriate claim values and negotiate settlements that are fair, defensible, and efficient * Collaborate with legal counsel and internal teams when claims escalate — keeping everyone aligned and moving forward * Communicate status and outcomes to all parties with professionalism and genuine empathy * Stay sharp on industry trends, evolving regulations, and medical terminology so your judgment stays current WHAT YOU'LL NEED * 4+ years of injury liability claim-handling experience * A background managing litigated and attorney-represented files — a strong advantage * Solid knowledge of insurance laws and regulations * Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to connect dots across complex files * Clear, confident written and verbal communication — no jargon, no runaround * Comfort working independently while staying closely connected to a collaborative team * Proficiency with claims management software and Microsoft Office * A genuine curiosity about technology, and the adaptability to grow with new tools as they evolve * Empathy, patience, and a positive presence — especially when customers need it most * A college degree * Ready to work in a remote environment Lemonade expects all advocates to hold and maintain a license in good standing. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
