What You’ll Do Job Summary: We are looking for a skilled and motivated Coating Inspector to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and integrity of coatings applied on construction materials by performing inspections based on NACE standards. You will prepare detailed reports, identify any issues or deviations from specifications, and collaborate with contractors to resolve them in a timely manner. This role requires a hands-on, problem-solving approach, as well as the ability to manage tasks independently while maintaining a high level of organization and professionalism. Key Skills and Qualifications: * Certification: NACE Level 1/ 2 certification and OSHA 30 are required. * Experience: Previous experience in coating inspection or a related field is highly preferred. * Technical Writing: Strong writing skills, with the ability to prepare clear and concise reports. * Technical Proficiency: Proficient in creating and managing electronic documents, including word processing and spreadsheets. * Organization: Well-organized and able to manage tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment. * Independence: Able to work independently with minimal supervision, demonstrating self-motivation and initiative. * Problem-Solving: Capable of identifying and addressing issues quickly, especially when dealing with contractors. * Communication: Comfortable engaging in difficult conversations when necessary to ensure project quality and compliance. Physical Requirements: * This position involves physically demanding tasks, including: * Standing for extended periods and performing repetitive motions. * Using hands to handle materials, reach, climb, balance, crouch, stoop, crawl, kneel, and sit. * Must have strong sensory abilities, including vision (close, distance, peripheral, and depth) and smell. * Regularly lifting or moving up to 40 pounds, frequently lifting up to 60-80 pounds, and occasionally moving more than 100 pounds. Qualifications: * High school diploma or GED equivalent is required. * 1-10 years of relevant experience.
