B&B Contracting Group is seeking a Licensed Commercial Transport/Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our growing company. B&B is a union-affiliated employer that puts a strong emphasis on safety and offers highly competitive compensation and benefits.   ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES   The job duties performed by the Commercial Transport/Heavy Duty Mechanic include but are not limited to:   * Performing regular repairs and maintenance on heavy, medium, and light-duty work trucks and trailers * Inspect, troubleshoot, test, or repair of brake systems, suspension, engines, hydraulics, electrical, air conditioning, fuel systems, transmissions and driveline components   QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS   * Minimum of three years' prior work experience in the mechanical trade * Experience with diesel engines * Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a variety of internal and external contacts * Excellent attention to detail with a methodical approach to problem solving * Must be able to work with minimal supervision * Licensed Commercial Transport or Heavy Duty Mechanic * Valid Drivers Licence – minimum Class 5 (preference for Class 1 or 3 with Air Brakes) * Must have own tools COMPENSATION   * $35 - $43/hour dependent on experience and performance * RRSP matching program * Extended health group plan (medical, dental, vision coverage)   ABOUT THE COMPANY B&B Contracting Group is a distinguished company with over 75 years of experience in civil construction.
