B&B Contracting Group is currently seeking a dedicated Concrete Finisher to join our growing company in our Excavation & Shoring Division. Key Responsibilities Job duties include but are not limited to: * Fabricate and erect forms for civil concrete construction. * Set forms for curbs, sidewalks, and flatworks. * Place and finish concrete. * Perform miscellaneous concrete works and skilled labor tasks. * Check formwork, granular base, and steel reinforcement materials. * Direct the placement of concrete into forms or onto surfaces according to grade. * Fill hollows and remove spots on freshly poured cement. * Level top surface concrete according to grade and depth specifications. * Work at heights, on scaffolding, or swing stages as required. * Impart desired finish to concrete surfaces using hand and power tools. * Apply hardening and sealing components to cure surfaces. * Waterproof, damp proof, and restore surfaces. * Repair, resurface, and replace worn or damaged sections of concrete structures. * Operate power vibrators to compact concrete. * Uphold a safe work environment by adhering to safety policies and work procedures. Qualifications and Skills * Journeyman Certification or a minimum of 3 years of experience in concrete finishing. * Physical ability to perform tasks involving moderate to heavy lifting, bending, reaching, and carrying. * Willing to travel to Vancouver Island and other locations within the Lower Mainland. * Valid driver's license and transportation. * Ability to read and interpret drawings is an asset. * Experience working with curbing machines is an asset. * Reliable, punctual, and possess a strong work ethic. * Ability to operate hand and power tools safely and maintain them in proper operating condition. * Ability to work in various weather conditions in outdoor environments. COMPENSATION Job Type: Full-time Salary: $38.00 - $43.00 per hour Hourly pay rate will be adjusted based on skills and experience.
