The Estimator will be responsible for preparing and reviewing estimates for various construction projects, coordinating with the project management team, and analyzing construction drawings and specifications to ensure accurate and competitive estimates.  Key Responsibilities: * Prepare quotes and design proposals for management, including service calls and new projects. * Identify and select highly qualified subcontractors and solicit competitive pricing for tenders. * Conduct a thorough analysis of tender drawings and provide comments on design, scheduling, possible cost savings, and potential construction issues. * Attend on-site pre-bid/proposal meetings, tender walks, conferences, and site visits. * Prepare detailed and accurate estimates for materials, labour, equipment, subcontracts, and construction facilities. * Develop and review subcontractor scopes of work, and accept, review, and analyze contractor quotes to determine best value. * Maintain strong relationships with subcontractors and suppliers. * Maintain the Master Tender List, ensure trade information is up to date, and consistently search for new trades to add. * Coordinate and present bids to management in a timely and organized manner. * Present cost estimates to support customer proposals, taking general and extraordinary conditions into consideration. * Prepare project bid status reports and ensure compliance with all specifications, Contract Statements of Work, and Bid Invitations, with an understanding of contractual terms and conditions.
