We pride ourselves on our commitment to excellence and our collaborative work environment. We are seeking a skilled and motivated Crew Chief to lead our surveying teams in the field. As a Crew Chief, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing surveying operations, ensuring accuracy, and maintaining efficiency. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of projects while leading a talented team of surveying professionals. Candidates must have at least 3 years’ experience as a Crew Chief in the land survey profession. Essential Functions and Responsibilities: * Lead and supervise survey crews in the field, assigning tasks and ensuring adherence to project specifications and timelines. * Conduct field surveys using advanced surveying equipment, including total stations, GPS, and data collectors. * Perform boundary surveys, topographic surveys, construction staking, and other surveying tasks as required. * Interpret survey data and prepare accurate field notes, sketches, and reports. * Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure project objectives are met. * Maintain survey equipment in proper working condition and perform routine maintenance as needed. * Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment for the survey crew. * Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications: * Minimum of 5 years of experience in land surveying, 3 years as a Crew Chief with a proven track record of leadership. * This position will require driving a company vehicle. Therefore, a valid driver's license and no infractions for a minimum of 3 years is required to be approved to drive a company vehicle and added to the company insurance policy. * Proficiency in using surveying equipment such as total stations, GPS, and data collectors. * Strong understanding of surveying principles, techniques, and methodologies. * Excellent organizational and communication skills. * Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently. * Proficiency in OSHA safety regulations. * Must be willing and able to enroll in OSHA and other compliance and policy programs. * The ability to bend, stoop, reach, and lift 75 lbs. Mental and physical labors are to be expected. * Honest, dependable, thorough, safety-conscious, and possessing a strong work ethic. * Must be self-driven with little to no supervision.
