The Database Developer focuses on the development, maintenance, and optimization of BillingPlatform’s database systems, supporting the daily operations of mission-critical applications. Working closely with developers and adhering to best practices, this role involves implementing effective database solutions aligned with established designs and business requirements. The Database Developer  is instrumental in maintaining database performance and reliability while contributing to the team’s collaborative development efforts.  Responsibilities: * Development in PL/SQL and code support: develop and maintain PL/SQL code including functions, procedures, packages, triggers, types, pipeline and object functions to support various business requirements and applications.  * Algorithm analysis: Analyze and optimize algorithms to enhance database performance and efficiency, ensuring optimal resource utilization and scalability. * Participation in the design of the database structure: Collaborate with the team to design and implement database structures that align with business needs and support future scalability and growth. * Performance tuning: resolve performance issues through database tuning, indexing strategies, query optimization, and other performance enhancement techniques. * Investigate problems in the existing code base: Troubleshoot and debug issues in the existing code base, conduct root cause analysis, and implement effective solutions to ensure system stability and reliability. * Work as part of the team on global initiatives: Collaborate with cross-functional teams on global initiatives, providing database expertise and support to drive project success and achieve business objectives. * Accurately implement and document solutions: Ensure the accurate implementation of solutions according to specifications and best practices and maintain comprehensive documentation to facilitate knowledge sharing and future maintenance. * As part of the main job responsibilities, he/she will be required to adhere to all existing company policies and procedures.  Required Skills/Abilities:  * Proven experience in PL/SQL development and database programming.  * Strong understanding of database concepts, data structures, and algorithms. * Experience in database design, performance tuning, and optimization. * Proficiency in troubleshooting and debugging database-related issues. * Excellent teamwork and communication skills. * Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities. * Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality solutions. Preferred Qualifications:  * Experience with Oracle Database or similar relational database management systems. * Knowledge of SQL concepts and techniques. * Certification in Oracle PL/SQL or relevant technology. Education: * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
