ABOUT THE ROLE We are seeking a strategic operator to own one of Base's most important partnerships: installer and electrician capacity. This partnership covers the last step of getting a battery on a member's home, and it continues to scale into new territories across the country. As the primary point of contact, you will represent Base in all interactions with our installer partners and be accountable for the success of the relationship. That means driving new installer capacity, unit economics, and quality outcomes, while making sure our partners stay motivated to win alongside us. Base Field Ops collaborates closely with Deployments, Launch, Growth, Software, and Hardware to deliver results that matter. What You'll Do * Own and maintain subcontractor relationships to grow Base's install capacity across the country * Build trusted relationships with executives and on-the-ground teams * Work with Launch to rapidly go to market in new territories * Negotiate contracts and terms * Manage the day-to-day relationship with installer partners * Set, track, and deliver against internal targets across Base teams to achieve partnership goals * Identify future opportunities to improve process, offerings, and outcomes through data, technology, and strong commercial instincts What You'll Bring * Proven experience standing up and leading large-scale partnerships or initiatives in a high-growth environment * Electrical engineering experience and acumen * Strong organizational and interpersonal skills to coordinate across multiple teams and stakeholders * Commercial acumen to structure, negotiate, and sustain win-win-win outcomes for Base, our partners, and our members in a B2B2C environment * Analytical and data-driven mindset; comfort working with modern tools (e.g., SQL, dashboards, CRMs) and rolling up your sleeves when needed About the Team A battery isn't installed until a licensed electrician shows up at a member's home and does the work — and that's the part of the business most software companies never have to solve. Our team builds and runs the network of subcontractor crews that makes that happen, market by market, from contract terms to crew capacity to on-site quality. When we open a new territory, this team is the reason a member's install date is real instead of a guess. The work is hands-on: negotiating rate schedules, setting capacity goals, auditing billing, and sitting across the table from installer executives to keep them building with us instead of for someone else. It's a rare seat for someone who wants to see a national infrastructure buildout scale one signed contractor at a time, not from a dashboard.
