KEY JOB DUTIES Technical Architecture & Development * Design and implement scalable and maintainable game architectures using Unity. * Oversee the development of high-quality, reusable, and efficient codebases. * Ensure the integration of best practices in software development, including design patterns and coding standards. Tool and SDK Development * Lead the creation and enhancement of development tools and SDKs that streamline the game publishing process. * Ensure that tools and SDKs are user-friendly, well-documented, and meet the needs of the development and publishing teams. * Continuously improve tools and SDKs based on user feedback and evolving project requirements. Project Planning * Define project scopes, timelines, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders. * Develop and manage project schedules, ensuring timely completion of milestones. * Allocate resources efficiently to optimize team productivity and project outcomes. Team Leadership & Management * Lead and mentor a team of developers, ensuring effective collaboration and high performance. * Assign tasks, set goals, and monitor progress to meet project deadlines. * Foster a positive and productive team environment, encouraging continuous learning and professional growth. Collaboration with CTO * Work directly with the CTO to develop and maintain internal tools and SDKs that support game publishing operations. * Translate the CTO’s vision and requirements into technical specifications and actionable development plans. * Provide regular updates and feedback to the CTO on tool and SDK development progress, challenges, and solutions. Collaboration & Communication * Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including Game Product, UA, and Marketing, to ensure cohesive game publishing. * Facilitate effective communication between team members and stakeholders to align project goals and expectations. * Conduct regular meetings to discuss project status, challenges, and updates. Quality Assurance & Performance Optimization * Implement and oversee rigorous testing protocols to ensure game stability and performance. * Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, bugs, and other technical issues promptly. * Ensure that all products meet high industry standards for quality and user experience. Process Improvement & Innovation * Continuously evaluate and improve development processes and pipelines to enhance efficiency and product quality. * Stay updated with the latest industry trends, tools, and technologies to incorporate innovative solutions into projects. * Advocate for and implement best practices in Agile/Scrum methodologies. Risk Management * Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project continuity. * Proactively address challenges and obstacles that may impact project timelines or quality. Technical Documentation * Ensure that all team members have access to necessary resources and maintain comprehensive documentation of codebases, architectures, development processes, tools, and SDKs. EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT / SKILLS / ATTRIBUTE KNOWLEDGE: * Advanced Unity Expertise: In-depth understanding of the Unity engine, including advanced features and optimization techniques. * Full-Stack Game Development: Comprehensive knowledge of both front-end and back-end game development processes. * Automated Testing: Proficiency in implementing automated testing platforms and writing unit tests to ensure code reliability. * Mobile Development: Extensive experience in mobile game development, including platform-specific optimizations. * Cross-Platform Development: Experience in developing tools and SDKs for multiple mobile platforms (iOS, Android). * Software Architecture: Strong grasp of software design patterns and architectural principles. * Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD): Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and related tools. * Tool and SDK Development: Experience in developing internal tools and SDKs to support game development and publishing processes. * Agile/Scrum Methodology: Extensive experience with Agile practices, particularly Scrum, and the ability to lead Scrum teams. * Version Control Systems: Expertise with code versioning tools such as Git, SVN, and Mercurial.
