Position Summary The Direct Support Professional (DSP) provides hands-on support and care to individuals with developmental disabilities, medical needs, or daily living assistance. This role is key in promoting independence, ensuring safety, and fostering meaningful connections. Responsibilities * Provide direct care and supervision to individuals in their home or community settings * Assist with daily living activities such as meal preparation, personal hygiene, medication reminders, and mobility support * Encourage and support individual goals to build independence and life skills * Implement care plans and follow instructions from nursing staff or supervisors * Maintain a safe, clean, and positive environment * Document services provided and report any changes in condition or concerns to the care team * Participate in team meetings and ongoing training to ensure high-quality care * Qualifications * High school diploma or equivalent required * Previous experience in caregiving, home health, or direct support preferred but not required (training provided) * Ability to lift, transfer, or assist individuals as needed * Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license (if required by assignment) * Strong communication skills and a compassionate, patient demeanor Schedule and Location * Flexible shifts including days, evenings, weekends, and overnights * Opportunities available across [insert service areas/regions] Why Join SFNS * Competitive pay with opportunities for overtime * Ongoing training and professional development * Supportive team environment with growth potential * The rewarding experience of making a difference every day
