Role Overview We are seeking a Director, FP&A to join the Rocket Growth Finance team, supporting one of Coupang's fastest-growing businesses. This role will serve as a strategic finance partner to the Rocket Growth CFO and business leaders, driving financial visibility, profitability, and sustainable growth. The successful candidate will lead forecasting, reporting, and variance analysis, translating complex financial and operational data into actionable business insights. This individual will develop and manage performance metrics that enable leaders to monitor business health, identify risks, and make data-driven decisions. A key responsibility will be conducting deep-dive analyses to understand the root causes behind performance trends and recommend corrective actions. The role will also own inventory loss management initiatives and partner closely with cross-functional stakeholders to improve controls and reduce leakage. In addition, the Director will monitor logistics and fulfillment costs, identify opportunities to optimize unit economics, and help maximize overall business profitability. Success in this role requires a highly analytical leader who can influence decisions, challenge assumptions, and drive measurable business impact. What You Will Do * Drive profitability management across the business by evaluating revenue drivers, seller economics, fulfillment costs, and investment trade-offs to support sustainable growth. * Partner closely with business, operations, supply chain, and product leaders to develop and track key financial and operational performance metrics that enable data-driven decision-making. * Lead monthly forecasting, budgeting, reporting, and Plan vs. Actual variance analysis, identifying performance drivers, emerging risks, and opportunities for improvement. * Own financial oversight of inventory-related losses, partnering with cross-functional stakeholders to identify root causes, strengthen controls, and implement loss-reduction initiatives. * Monitor and analyze logistics, fulfillment, and return-related costs, driving initiatives that improve efficiency, unit economics, and overall business profitability. * Conduct deep-dive analyses across seller cohorts, product categories, pricing structures, and customer behaviors to influence business strategy, policy decisions, and growth initiatives. * Build scalable financial frameworks, reporting infrastructure, and analytical tools that improve forecasting accuracy, business visibility, and executive decision support. Basic Qualifications * 15+ years of progressive finance experience with a core concentration in FP&A and Corporate Finance within global tech, large-scale services, e-commerce, or high-growth industries. * 5+ years of proven team management experience, with a track record of partnering directly with top management to drive enterprise-level decision-making. * Demonstrated success managing large-scale enterprise or major business unit P&Ls (hundreds of millions to billions USD) and driving capital deployment. * Exceptional ability to translate complex data analytics into clear, compelling business narratives to influence non-finance executive stakeholders. * Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or a related field. Preferred Qualifications * MBA, Master’s degree in Economics, Finance or a related field. * CPA, CA, CFA * Profound experience in online advertising. * Working experience in a multinational company with exposure to Asia.
