Electrician Helper – Hands-On Training, Real Career Path Austin, TX | Full-Time | On-Site Every great electrician started somewhere. As an Electrician Helper, you'll work side by side with a Licensed Electrician, learning the real mechanics of the trade — wiring, circuit breakers, lighting fixtures, racking, and modules — while keeping the job site safe, organized, and moving. What You'll Do * Observe and assist a Licensed Wireman, Journeyman, or Master Electrician, following their written or verbal instructions on every project. * Follow all relevant safety codes and guidelines while assisting with the installation and servicing of electrical equipment. * Wear appropriate protective clothing and equipment, and always follow job-specific safety protocols. * Keep tools, parts, and materials organized, and make sure everything the electrician needs is on-site and ready. * Transport tools and materials to the electrician as needed throughout the job. * Help prepare and clean the work site before every project begins. * Clean and tidy the work area after every project — materials, dust, and debris, all handled. * Assist with other duties as assigned by the Electrician.
